Screens, zoned sound and practical controls for busy hospitality venues. Plan the AV around service, live sport and the different spaces your customers use.
Discuss your venue ›Start with the working day
A bar can need several different experiences at once: commentary in the sports area, music at the counter and a quieter dining space. The useful starting point is a source-and-zone plan that staff can understand during a busy shift.
List the programmes that need to be shown simultaneously and which screens must select independently. Decide where commentary is heard and how it takes priority over background music.
The bar, dining room and private-hire space may need different sound levels and sources. Loudspeaker coverage should suit the seating, with controls that avoid unnecessary changes in adjacent areas.
Agree familiar source names, sensible startup levels and a short opening routine. Staff should know how to restore the normal setup after a private event or an interrupted power supply.
An illustrative room & zone plan
Use this as a starting point for a site discussion. It is an example planning schedule, not a completed project or a prescribed equipment package.
| Area | System requirement | How it is operated |
|---|---|---|
| Main bar | Music and selected TV audio; clear coverage around customer areas. | Accessible volume and source selection. |
| Sports viewing area | Independent screen routing and a defined commentary feed. | Simple match-day routing presets. |
| Dining or snug | Lower music level with separation from louder trading areas. | Local volume control within agreed limits. |
| Private hire | An agreed guest input and microphone option if required. | A normal-service reset after the booking. |

Survey, installation & handover
An occupied pub needs an installation sequence that fits trading and protects customer routes. We review mounting surfaces, rack ventilation, source locations and cable concealment before fixing the scope. Where outdoor areas are included, equipment and mounting are assessed separately for the environment.
At handover, the agreed operating tasks are demonstrated with the venue’s actual sources and controls. We discuss the documentation and support arrangements needed to keep those tasks manageable after installation.
Our installation process ›Your questions
Yes, where the source subscriptions, available source devices and routing system support the required simultaneous content. We establish those requirements before choosing the matrix; the installation does not provide broadcast rights or subscriptions.
A zoned design can provide that, with a suitable audio route from the chosen source. We agree how commentary is selected and how staff return to background music.
We can discuss operating presets and level limits. The agreed behaviour should be straightforward for staff and checked with the venue during handover.
